Hubungan Pergaulan Teman Sebaya dengan Konsep Diri Remaja Kelas 1 dan 2 di SMA Swasta Imelda Medan Tahun 2022
Abstract
Introduction : Self-concept is an idea about oneself which includes one's beliefs, views and judgments about oneself. Adolescents who have a positive self-concept will be able to accept their strengths and weaknesses. Adolescents who have a good view of the surrounding environment will be able to choose associations that can have a good impact on themselves. If students can get along well, they usually also show positive behavior and attitudes and help each other. They also encourage each other to develop a good self-concept, give each other advice and help each other.
Method : The research design used an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study is 107 people with perposive sampling. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire.
Result : Data analysis was performed using the chi-s-square test. The results show that the majority of high peer relationships (73.8%) and positive self-concept (62.6%). The results of the chi-square statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.022 (p <0.05), meaning that there is a significant relationship between peer association and the self-concept of adolescents in grades 1 and 2 of Imelda Private High School Medan
Conclusion : It is suggested to principals and teachers in teaching to provide guidance in an effort to improve self-concept by giving examples directly to students how to choose a good peer park association.
