Hubungan Pengetahuan dan Stres Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 dengan Kepatuhan Kontrol di Rumah Sakit Umum Mitra Medika Amplas Medan Tahun 2022
Abstract
Background : Hyperglycemia is a medical condition characterized by an increase in normal blood sugar and is one of the characteristics of diabetes mellitus. Considered a world-threatening disease, diabetes mellitus is classified into 4 groups, namely type I DM, type 2 DM, type 2I DM, and type IV DM. The WHO organization predicts a significant increase in the number of type 2 DM patients in the coming years. The World Health Organization predicts an increase in the number of type 2 DM patients in Indonesia from 8.4 million in 2000 to around 21.3 million in 2030.
Methods : This study used analytical methods with a cross-sectional research design, using a questionnaire with a total sample of 100 people. The sampling technique in this study used the Random Sampling technique.
Results : The results showed that there was no relationship between knowledge and the value of ρ = 0.432 > α (0.05), and there was no relationship between stress and the value of ρ = 0.741 > α (0.05) with control compliance at Mitra Medika Amplas Hospital in Medan.
Conclusion : The results of the study showed that knowledge and stress did not find a significant relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable (X and Y), so the researchers drew a conclusion according to the results of the statistical test data that knowledge and stress are not a reason for someone to prevent and treat DM. type 2 which is one of the ways to achieve the degree of health and cure of type 2 DM but it is very likely that the disease will return to the predisposing, enabling, reinforcing factors and the presence of direct family support.
