Literatur Review: Efektifitas Aerobic Exercise Terhadap Penurunan Kadar Gula Darah Pada Tikus Wister Jantan Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2
Abstract
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a multifactorial and global endemic disorder that increases every year in the world due to the inability of body cells to respond to insulin (insulin resistance) so that insulin-producing hormones are disrupted from producing insulin optimally and ultimately there is an insulin deficit, which has an impact on other things. serious and even result in death. Therefore, treatment is needed, including Aerobic exercise, because Aerobic exercise can increase insulin sensitivity, increase homeostatic metabolism, regulate the expression level of oxidative metabolic enzymes, increase the tricarboxylic acid cycle, thereby reducing blood sugar levels (KGD). This article uses a literature study or literature review by searching Google Scholar and PubMed with the keywords aerobic exercise and type 2 diabetes for 5 years of research published between 2015 and 2023. Based on a literature search for articles related to the effect of aerobic exercise on reducing KGD, where All research was tested on experimental animals. Therefore, based on the results of literature studies, it can be concluded that there is an effect of aerobic exercise on reducing KGD in type 2 diabetes (T2DM).
