PENYULUHAN DAN PEMERIKSAAN ASAM URAT DI LINGKUNGAN I KELURAHAN AEK MUARA PINANG KOTA SIBOLGA
Abstract
Neighborhood I Aek Muara Pinang Village, South Sibolga District, Sibolga city is one of the areas in North Sumatera. People age 40 years and over experience a lot of complaints of pain in their fingers, there are several lumps in the folds of the joints of the fingers. Another case also complained of pain in the right ankle and back of the foot, and appeared to be swollen, red and painful to the touch. Medically, this is one of the symptoms of increased uric acid in the blood. The purpose of this PKM activity is to conduct free uric acid checks and provide education in the form of counseling about gout. The implementation of this PKM activity was carried out in Neighborhood 1 Aek Muara Pinang Village, Sibolga city on December 9, 2021 to December 20, 2021 with a total of 24 participants. The implementation of PKM begins with uric acid counseling and free uric acid checks. The results of the PKM showed that participants’ knowledge of uric acid increased and participants’ uric acid levels were in the high range of 73%.
