Abstract

Clean water and sanitation are basic human needs that must be met. But in reality, there are still many people who have difficulty getting it. The lack of clean water supply and sanitation facilities faced by rural communities has led to various problems, including: high public spending for clean water, high infant mortality due to diarrhea and other illnesses caused by the use of unhygienic water.

Salak II Village has an area of ​​±310 hectares and a population of 2,292 people, with 1,110 men and 1,182 women. Salak II Village in 2022 found that the number of non-PDAM customer households was 98.7%, while there were far fewer PDAM users, namely 1.3%. The results of the activities carried out went well starting from data collection, interventions and evaluation of interventions. Intervention activities carried out to solve the problem of damaged water reservoirs are clean water counseling and the importance of clean water supply facilities, advocacy to the Government (PDAM) of Salak District, Pakpak Bharat Regency in 2022.
